The Friends of Downs Park is a small group of dedicated volunteers whose mission is to provide funds to assist with the preservation of Downs Park; ecologically, environmentally and through family entertainment. Activities at the park include our Annual Community Family Day, Concert series, maintaining private flower beds in Mother’s Garden, Adopt the Owl Program, picnicking, hiking, fishing, and much more.
We are looking for individuals who love the outdoors, love helping the community, and love making new friends. If you can give us a few hours a week or month, we would love to have you join us! JOIN US and we promise you will find something you will totally enjoy at our beautiful park! We are always looking for new talent and creative ideas!

After careful consideration and monitoring of usage, the Friends of Downs Park have decided to cancel our mobile phone service. We want to continue providing our community and loyal followers access to all activities and upcoming events within the park. Therefore, we ask that you follow us on Facebook and/or our website. There is much to do at Downs Park! Picnic areas, playground, paved trails, nature trails, fishing, and more.
Bring the whole family and even the dog! Spend a day at the Dog Beach and let your best friend swim and play.
Beautiful, outdoor weddings are held in Mother's Garden at Downs Park. Also, learn about the Adopt-An-Owl program.
